Hi all and thanks for the replies to my queston about using logic8 files in
Qlab, i have started exporting all the files as audio files and arranging
them via the Qlab matrix which is what you were suggesting Matt, i believe.
This is working quite well at the moment and looks to be the way forward. I
didn't try your suggestion David (Wilson) in the end because the system is a
multi speaker configuration rather than "surround" system but i will try it
one day as it would make final mix balances a bit less cumbersome when some
of the sections have twenty or so simultaneously playing tracks. For those
interested, on this show Qlab, AkaiS6000 and a Yamaha PM5d is being
triggered by Gtype for Windows as this program is able to control all the
parameters of the Yamaha desk via sysex which is very handy indeed, one day
maybe eh Chris, shame all this video stuff gets in the way! Thanks again
everyone.
V best wishes, Adam.
