The MBP, at least the Core 2 Duo one, does have a TI chipset on the
motherboard.

It seems RME and Apogee do ExpressCard solutions, both at great expense.
It might be cheaper to invest in a redundent system with two Mac Minis,
two UltraLights and and an audio switcher :/
