[QLab] Laptop problems

I use an old G4 1Ghz Titanium as my personal machine. I tend to keep
my current shows on this as a back up in case there are problems with
the unit running my shows. It has OSX 10.4.11 with 1 Gig of RAM. I am
using Qlab 1.3.3 with advanced audio and midi options. I use Jack to
allow myself the ability to program to multiple outputs. After
problems opening some Qlab files, I thought it might help to update
the OS, with no success I also updated Qlab on the laptop.
The tower at work is an older Mirror door G4 700 or so Mhz with 1 Gig
of RAM. It has OSX 10.3.9 and Qlab 1.3.1 with advanced audio and
midi. I plug into a MOTU 828 mkii. I have never had a problem with
transferring shows back and forth. However, the last show (a very
nice version of Misery designed by Jeremy Lee) and my current
production will not open on my laptop. All of the shows previous to
this still open but I cannot open ones since including the MIDI
option and updating both the laptop's OS and Qlab. I simply get the
message "The document X.qlab could not open." Coincidentally, when I
choose get info on the QLab file, it cannot find the date of origin.
Is this a compatibility issue with Jack, do I need something with a
MIDI connection…?
This is a major problem for me. I like the ability to program blind
or take the laptop away and plug it in for an emergency. Any thoughts
or help is appreciated.
