[QLab] recommended system configuration for video / best practices?

This is all good advice. I'm big proponent of not using your show machines
for anything other than show playback.

That being said, I've been using Menu Meters on 5 separate Qlab systems in
various setups for the better part of 18 months with no ill effects. I
also run it daily on my personal laptop alongside ProTools, Logic, Smaart
and Parallels.

I find it to be a very useful app for Qlab as it allows you to monitor how
heavy the show load is, in real-time, while consuming less resources than
Activity Monitor.
