[QLab] IRPlay emulation ( perhaps beating a dead horse )

Or perhaps beating a horse of a different color, whatever.

There was some discussion on the list a few months ago about the 
merits of adding an interface to Qlab that provided something along 
the lines of the venerable Instant Replay.  This was mentioned again 
in passing in a post in the last few weeks.  Has this idea gotten any 
legs as yet ?  Is it likely to or should it be left alone?
