[QLab] qlab and RS-232

Has anyone ever tried running an alcorne mcbride (or other similar)
video server from Qlab? I may have access to one and it seems as
though it may be a superior/ more stable solution to running LOTS of
video slaves in the form of mini's and macbooks.

The issue is that most of these run using RS232 for control. Which I
know little about other than my mac mini which will be my master,
doesn't have it.

any suggestions?
