[QLab] sluggish performance

One thing to check is that you're using the most recent version of the  
Video Cue, as some of the recent updates did optimize some of the  
memory allocation, which reduced the time it takes to load video  
workspaces.  Even with those optimizations, it's not perfect, but it's  
worth checking to make sure at least those optimizations are available  
to you.

As a sidenote, the MacBook aggravates issues here because like the Mac  
Mini it uses an integrated graphics card that shares RAM with the rest  
of the system (no dedicated graphics RAM).  So you've only got 1 gig  
of RAM to spread between audio buffers, frame buffers, OS, apps, etc.
