Yes, this is currently the way it works.  When the preferences window  
is closed all preference settings are pushed out to the cues.  For  
sound cues, this means the working directory and patch number are  
updated, which causes the cue to be rebuilt with the new  
information.  If it was previously playing, it picks up again from  
where it left off.

I anticipate suggestions to put in checks for whether the rebuild is  
necessary.  :)  I'll certainly look into it.  I didn't do it this way  
previously because the current behavior is simpler and it wasn't  
clear that more complex behavior was necessary.  When in doubt, I try  
to go with the simpler solution.
