[QLab] Live video input

Hi Chris, Further to our previous discussion about a live video feed,
I've been messing around, trying to see if I can get this to work for
a show that we are doing. I've bought a Canopus Firewire video capture
card, and hooked a camera up to it via composite. Using QC, I've
previewed the feed going into the viewer, checking that the canopus if
the device being used. However, when I drop the exported QT movie, or
the .qtz file (I've tried it with both), the 'live feed' switches to
the isight camera feed. The confusing thing is, if I quit out, and
relaunch the qtz file & switch the live inputs to the isight, when I
drop the same file into a new qlab workspace, the live feed is from
the canopus!
Quicktime was not running whilst I tried this, but if I launch
quicktime, after quitting Qlab, it shows the correctly patched live
feed playing back!
What stupid thing am I doing wrong?
It seems to be something within Qlab, as QT and QC are showing the
correct image- any thoughts?
Dan
