[QLab] "Audition" feature idea

Hey Chris,

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned before, but it might be nice to add
an "Audition" checkbox to each cue row (much like the "Auto continue"
checkbox) that would re-route the signal to a set of outputs that can feed a
headphone amp (while simultaneously muting the output feeds to the theatre
speakers). This would be great for discreetly checking or previewing a cue
(or group of cues) during a rehearsal.

I know that you could always just route a couple of the outputs to a
headphone amp as things are right now, but in order to not hear the cue in
the speakers would require a lot of monkeying around to turn them off, and
it wouldn't allow you to preview the show's fades accurately. The idea of
this feature would be to make private auditioning fast and convenient.
Ideally this function would be able to take the signal levels post their
fader levels so that the relative levels of sounds and fades could be
approximated (understanding that there would be some funkiness folding the
multiple outputs into stereo for the headphones).

Just a thought. I was wishing for something like this the other night
during a rehearsal.

Thanks,

Jason
