[QLab] Building a show away from an interface

Hey all,

I've seen a few mentions of wishing for a way to build a show on a 16ch
system while somewhere away from a 16ch hardware interface.  If you were to
use a program like Soundflower (from Cycling '74) couldn't you emulate a 16
ch system, while passing all the odd channels to your computer's left
speaker and all the even channels to the right speaker, and then simply
upload the show onto the show computer and swap the patch from "Soundflower
16 ch." to "MOTU 24 IO"  or whatever?

Thoughts?
