Hmmm...I'm not familiar with the term "looks", but to try to clarify:

The 16 columns of channels are all output channels, so each of those 16
channels can go to a separate speaker.

The 8 rows of channels you have are all input channels.  Meaning that you
can have a sound file with as many as 8 channels in it.  Each of those 8
inputs can be routed to one or more of the 16 output channels.

There's no way at the moment to get a full 16x16 matrix.
