[QLab] Audio Interface for QLab

Hi folks,

I'm directing a show--The Woman in Black--in a small college theater  
and bringing in a sound system to compensate for the pretty mild one  
on hand.  I'm considering purchasing a firewire output device to use  
QLab as the playback system for the show.  The show requires some  
relatively complicated sound field effects -- as in, a pony and trap  
riding from behind the audience (back of the theater) to the front.   
I expect to string together six speakers -- two mono left and right  
in the front, two mono left and right in the back, and two stereo in  
the middle section.  Is this something QLab will be able to handle,  
via a firewire interface, using channels?  If so, does anyone have  
experience with specific firewire output interfaces, and this sort of  
sound field management?  I'm afraid really don't know the basics at  
this point, and I would welcome any advice you can offer.
