Here's a fun experiment that will add external effects to Qlab
without a lot of processor overhead. This can be done with any audio
interface, but here I have done it with Built-in. If you haven't
discovered AU Lab yet, you're in for a treat.

1 Download the Audio SDK from developer.apple.com which gets you AU Lab
2 Download Soundflower from www.cycling74.com
3 Create an Aggregate Audio Device with Built-in Audio and Soundflower
4 Open AU Lab and set up the input routing to be the Soundflower
Stream and output routing to the built-in stream
5 Route a sound in QLab to all 4 channels of your aggregate device
6 Put a reverb on the input channel of your AU Lab setup
7 Now fire your cue in QLab, and voila! reverb tail. Or any other AU
plugin you own.

There is a bit of latency, but not too bad. Only noticeable as a
slight phasing when the FX lines are played back dry. Also, remove
any Waves Netshell plugins before starting AU Lab b/c it won't
recognize them.
