Yes; the Video Fade only adjusts the visibility of a Video Cue, just  
as a Fade only adjusts the volume levels of a cue.

Sure, just have both on the same display and one fade down and the  
other up.

It depends on what you mean by this; you could certainly start the  
same video on two displays and fade one out while the other fades in.

Audio is routed to the default system output.

Right.  Partly for that reason, my plan for the moment is to leave  
the audio options for Video cues basic.

The normal Fade Cue will adjust the volume level of video cues too.

A combo of a Fade Cue and a Video Fade Cue will do the trick for  
these two cases, of course.

Hmmm...writing this email makes me want to rename the "Fade Cue" to  
"Audio Fade Cue"....
