[QLab] quicktime 7.1.6 still broken?

So I seem to have fixed the issue.

Problem: When I run through a set of video cues, that are all image
files, the first time they are triggered they all show up as white.
Even the actual picture height and width is fine but just the picture
is all white. I do have an video cue that is playing a video file
that is working fine so the problem seems to be limited to still
images. See the attached picture as an example. This is a group cue
setup so that when a cue is fading out the next cue is fading in for
cross dissolves like this:

Group
-video cue with photo
-fade in cue of above video cue
-fade out cue of above video cue

video cue with photo
-fade in cue of above video cue
-fade out cue of above video cue

video cue with photo
-fade in cue of above video cue
-fade out cue of above video cue

Group End

Solution: Run through all my group video cue sequences even though
they are all showing white and let them finish. For some reason this
seems to cause some sort of loading of the images. Once I have run
through the cues once, with them all showing up as white, the show
then works fine no matter how many more times I run the show.
However if I close and reopen cue lab I have to redo the fix
process. I have also added a load cue for each of the group of video
cues.

We are up too the latest version of Q-Lab and all plugins have been
updated. It is odd because the playback seems to be random.
Sometimes the files show up as white while other times they work
fine. One thing we have noticed is that if we open the show, then
simply click on each cue before running the show, the problem goes
away. Not sure if this works 100% of the time. I am working on
reformatting our backup machine to only 7.1.3 and see if that works.

Hmmm...this doesn't sound related to the earlier 7.1.6 problems,
which involved stuttering when movies began to play.

I'm not (yet) seeing this behavior myself with 7.1.6 and a variety of
file formats. Dumb question, but just to double check: are all your
video plugins updated?

FWIF I will be traveling today and this weekend, and will have slower
response times than usual.

Best,
Chris
