Okay, this is what I expected. First off, you should be able to
launch QLab without the device connected, and then plug the device
back in once QLab has launched. Just to be sure, go to the Sound Cue
preferences and make sure the device shows up when you plug it back
in. You may need to hit the "Factory Settings" button to force it to
rescan the devices.
You should be able to use the device after that.
This bug is a problem I am trying very very hard to track down. It
is proving to be really difficult to debug, mainly because I cannot
yet recreate the problem on any of my own machines with any of my own
audio devices. Helpful reports from users have helped me narrow in
on where it is happening, but, without boring you with the details,
where it is happening doesn't make any sense to me.
It is interesting to me to know that this started happening to you
only after you installed the licenses. Up until now I have not heard
of this being related to the license files at all, and indeed it has
happened in at least one case when no licenses of any kind were
installed.
Let me know if it works to plug the device in after launching.
Very sorry for the trouble.
Best,
Christopher
