What kind of consoles are you using? The Yamaha consoles can get MIDI  
via the same USB connection they use for the Studio Manager software  
so there is no need for a separate MIDI interface. In fact the Yamaha  
board becomes a MIDI interface in this setup that you can use to send  
MIDI from your computer to other devices as well.

Connection would be - QLAB (CPU) -USB-Yamaha Board - Then Yamaha MIDI  
out to other devices.

Assign Studio manager to channel 1 and QLAB Midi to other channels.
