[QLab] Corporate-type Shows

Most PPT operators combine the individual presentations into one
Master Show File, inserting a theme graphic between presentations for
a slicker look. When this is done there is no need to load files
during the show. Typically they will also run a backup machine with
the same master presentation loaded and leave that in Slide Sorter
mode, then they can follow along with the main presentation "6 more
slides to go for this guy." If you need to bail to the backup, a
quick double click on the current slide in the sorter gets you full
screen & running again from this machine.

Powerpoint is a bit of an incompatible & unstable mess on a Mac & I
would not recommend running it alongside Qlab. Use a dedicated PC
with Office XP (can't believe I'm saying this) for the PPT, since
you're now only clicking through one presentation you should have
free hands/time to do the Qlab stuff.
