I used QLab with a FW410 pretty extensively this year and never had
the distortion problem you are describing. Running a 1.25 MHZ
Powerbook G4 w/ 2GB RAM. Using M-Audio Firewire.app version 1.3.1
What does the distortion sound like? Is it that gravely, grindy,
stuttery sort of distortion, or are you overdriving something?
Definitely match the FW410 sample rate to the sample rate of your
files and see if that helps (in the software). Also, there are output
levels in the mixer in the software, the knobs on the front of the
unit are infinite, so it is possible to be turned way up and not know
it w/o looking at the app.
