I've found the best way to work with preshow music is to just create a 
single large sound file, MP3 in my case, that contains all the songs. I 
typically create a 40 minute mix which I set to loop just in case (and yes, 
we did need the loop once). This also has allowed me to easily set a five 
minute warning announcement that fades down the preshow (or intermission 
music), plays the announcement, and then fades the music back up.
