Hi Adam,

If I understand your description correctly, this would be a good  
place to use a relative fade.

You can adjust the volume of an entire group of cues (or an entire  
cue list of cues) by assigning that group to a Fade Cue that is set  
to "relative" mode.  (The most recent version of the Fade Cue will  
automatically set itself to relative mode when you assign a Group Cue  
to it.)  That way you can fade out the preshow music at an  
indeterminate time.

Does that do the trick, or did I misunderstand you?
