Hi Josh,

There has been one other report similar to this, where the default  
duration of the Fade Cue was not being preserved.  See:

I had, frankly, zero success figuring out what was going on in that  
case.  There's not a ton of code involved in this, and my review of  
it revealed no obvious erros.  (And for most people it seems to just  
work.)

Do other preferences save properly?  Can you think of anything that  
might be unique to your situation that would introduce a unique  
factor?  Let's take this to the above ticket for further discussion.   
(The mailing list has gotten to be a fairly busy place recently!)
