[QLab] MIDI file playback

For now, I guess the answer is to treat MIDI in QLab like that in G-
Type. Instead of making SMF files, make lists of note messages in
either a group cue or a separate list.

Chris- would it be possible to set up QLab to record a MIDI sequence,
or import an SMF and parse it into a separate list? My understanding
of SMFs is basic at best, but I'm pretty sure that it's just simply a
list of note on events, with durations, that happen at a specific
time in ms. This seems that it could be fairly easily parsed into a
new cue list. I don't pretend to understand it, but something called
CLAM claims to convert MIDI files into XML.

Might be a quicker way to MIDI playback glory than writing a new cue
type. "Import MIDI file to Group" command... ???

Best,

Jeremy
