One thing that might help (at least a little bit):
You can create an absolute timeline of MIDI messages by putting all
your MIDI cues into a Group that is set to "Fire all children
simultaneously", and then using pre-waits to set the time the cue
should fire relative to the moment the entire group is started.
For some circumstances this "absolute" timeline can be a lot better
than the typical "relative" timeline.
(i.e. It can be a lot easier than trying to do a bunch of: "Cue C
fires 1 second after Cue B fires 2.5 seconds after Cue A...oh crap, I
want to reduce the wait after Cue A, but still have Cue C fire at the
same time...which means I have to adjust every single time between
the cues...ARRRRGGGH!")
