[QLab] QLab and MOTU896HD

Dear List:

I've been really enjoying working with QLab.but I do have a problem I'm
hoping someone can help me with.

I will admit that I am a PC person usually, so if there is some Mac related
magic I haven't figured out, please forgive me.

 

I am running QLab 1.1.1 on a MacBook Pro 1,2 with Intel CoreDuo, 2.16 GHz,
Mac OS  10.4.8.

The show is running fine from my Firewire MAudio 410.

However, I need to run it on a MOTU 896HD provided by the company.

 

I searched the archives, and can find someone using this soundcard on a G5,
but not an Intel Mac.

I was on the phone with MOTU.. and they were able to direct me to the older
drivers.

With the most recent drivers (1.4.3), the Mac recognizes the sound card,
QLab will patch to it, but no sound comes out.  And.when restarting the
program after patching, it would consistently repatch the first two outputs
to the built in sound card.

With the older MOTU drivers (1.2.5), the Mac does not even see the sound
card.

I did try to uninstall the previous driver (I had first installed the 1.4.3
version) before installing the older driver.  The Mac mostly completed the
uninstall, but said some files could not be deleted as a program was using
them (although no programs were open).  

 

Any help would be appreciated!!
