[QLab] Live Fade updates - good or bad?

Ok, so live level changes for setting sound cue levels are great.

When programming, live level changes for fades cues are great.

When running Cues in rehearsal and wanting to program fades in, or tweak the
level of a fade that is coming up, it can be undesirable to have levels
jumping all over the place, particularly as there is no way of then
restoring the level of the playing cue (ie pre-Fade Cue level, so that you
can then run the fade) without jumping back to the playing Sound Cue's Level
inspector.

Eg.

Music Q is playing live.

You add a fade Cue, the intention to create a dip in the level of the music
by -10dB. If you grab the faders in the new Fade Cue the level of the
playing music drops to -Inf and rises as you set the level. [A way around
the dip to -inf is to type in the values and have the fader snap to the new
value.]

I feel that this can interupt the flow of things on stage.

Should there be a way to toggle live fades updates on/off? Should this be a
control access from the workspace or tucked away in the Fades prefernces
page?

Thoughts? Am I mad? ;-)
