I would have to agree with philip. I know you said that you wouldn't
go that high but I think $500 might even be too much considering that
Qlab free still exists. so $500 for show control in my opinion would
not make enough people switch. Once you add the video features and
other cool things like that that I could see my self and others
forking over the money.
As far as a running an offline version Qlab Free still exists and
I'd assume that Qlab Pro reads Qlab free files. Therefore you would
not necessarily need the offline feature. The only thing I'd like to
see in Qlab free is the ability to put place holder cues in where
MIDI cues and Video cues, etc. would normally be and would be
activated once you bought pro or move the qlab file to a pro machine.
That way you can program that stuff in but not have the ability to
use it. Save the universities money by allowing them to use Qlab and
program qlab pro features offline. The problem there requires a copy
protect scheme, which is probably not worth it. and takes money away
from you chris.

Have fun,
=Matt O.

PS I know other companies charge a lot more for thier product but the
ones that do also offer support manuals and are the de-facto for
playback sound. So I'd wait and gain more market share first.
